The Westfalian bred Franz-Joseph is full-sibling of the approved stallion Final Dance, who won international Prix St George tests at the age of eight under the name Feel Good VO. Their sire Franziskus is successful at Grand Prix level, ridden by Ingrid Klimke. He is one of the well breeding sires out of the line of Fidertanz, Fidermark and Florestan I. Damsire Dimension is approved by several studbooks and son of the influential sire Donnerhall I. Franz-Joseph was sold as foal over the Westphalian auction.
